Bots and unattended clients

I do not like bots on IRC, and similarly people who leave their clients unattended for many hours at a time are also not popular. Remember that IRC works 24 hours a day, and there are people out there who use the channel but that you've never seen. Denying these people channel ops is unfair. If you leave your client unattended, later people who join do not get channel ops. Then if a troublemaker arrives, no one can deal with them - you aren't there, and the others do not have ops.
